There are indications that on-loan Chelsea star Victor Moses may be making a return to the national team for the crucial double-header against Egypt in the African Cup of Nations qualifying series.
Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh served the hint that Moses may get a recall for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt in March.
Moses who is presently on loan with the Hammers from Chelsea is yet to feature for the three-time African champions since Oliseh took charge of the team from Stephen Keshi last year and there are insinuations that a return to scheme of things may be hard for Moses
However, Coach Oliseh has quelled speculations that Moses could be left out of the crucial games after he pulled out of the friendlies against Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon in October last year.m.
He said: “Yes, Victor Moses is still in our plan. All the players who are eligible to play for us are still in our plans aside those who have retired from the national team,”
Having missed out on the 2015 AFCON, the Eagles are keen to make it the 2017 edition in Gabon but they face the aurdious task of unseating Egypt who for now have installed themselves as favourites to claim the Group G sole automatic ticket following impressive wins against Chad and Tanzania.
The Super Eagles are second on the group with four points following a draw and a win from their opening two games against Tanzania and Chad.
With this development, the Eagles will need at least a home win and draw away in Cairo to get themselves in the driver’s seat before the last set of qualifying games.
