Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos midfielder, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi has charged his teammates to go all out for victory against Ikorodu United Football Club of Lagos in match day 25 tie of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) tagged Lagos Derby.
MFM FC will engage Ikorodu United FC in a game that promises to be highly entertaining in the NPFL this Sunday at the Agege Township Stadium, Lagos.
Speaking ahead of the match, the former Nigeria Under 20 midfielder revealed to his club’s official website that he and his team mates have made up their minds to play their heart out for the maximum three points at stake.
“We are ready for the Lagos Derby coming up on Sunday against Ikorodu United because we will not share the points. We have charged ourselves and the coaching crew have done their best as well.
“Ikorodu United FC were lucky we didn’t beat them in the first leg; this Sunday presents us an opportunity to prove to them that we are the champions of Lagos. We are aware of their new recruits and we know all their plans.
“The Lagos Derby is one of the games of our lives; we can’t afford to settle for anything less than the maximum points. We need an outright victory to get back to winning ways and by the special grace of God will defeat them,” said the ex-junior international.
The NPFL newcomers are 12th on the top-flight table with 30 points from a possible 66 in the 24-week-old league.
