Kenyan international McDonald Mariga has completed the move to Italian second tier side US Latina following months of searching after parting ways with Parma FC at the end of last season when the club was relegated from the Serie A.
Mcdonald Mariga , an elder brother to Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has previously played for Inter Milan and Real Sociedad in Spain and the US Latina website confirms the midfielder has signed a six – month deal with the Serie B side.
His deal will expire at the end of the current season, on 30th June and the deliverable is definitely helping the team secure promotion to the top flight.
“US Latina has reached an agreement for the acquisition of McDonald Mariga. The Kenyan midfielder has signed a six month contract that will keep him at the club until June 30th this year,” the short statement confirming the move on the club’s site read.
Mcdonald Mariga – winnings
Mcdonald Mariga has won all possible titles at club level – the Italian Serie A title, UEFA Champions League, Coppa Italia and the Club World Cup, all while at Inter Milan.
Mariga lost his place in the Kenya national team as a result of being unattached but with some game time assured now, he will definitely get the coach’s consideration.
He has 47 caps for the Kenya national team.
