Ulinzi Stars head coach Robert Matano has rubbished talk that he is set to return to Tusker FC after the 2015 season elapses.
The issue concerning Matano’s future has been a top agenda lately with his deal at the military side set to expire in December but the coach says his focus is firmly fixed on helping the team end the season strongly.
Matano left Tusker for Ulinzi Stars at the end of the 2013 season and with Francis Kimanzi having recently left the brewers, Matano has been tipped as the replacement but if his words are anything to go by, he will bide his time to have contract talks with his current employers.
“I do not know about that; I am also hearing it from the media and so I am not so concerned with it. My focus is on leading Ulinzi Stars to finis strongly and once the season is over I believe we will have ample time to talk about that with my bosses.
“My contract ends in December but I am not worried so much about that,” he said.
