Manchester United midfielder is open to working with potential new manager Jose Mourinho, according to the Daily Mail.
The Spanish international is reportedly keen to resolve any differences that exist in his relationship with the Portuguese who sanctioned his £37.1m January move to Old Trafford.
Mata was used sparingly during a six-month spell under Mourinho at Stamford Bridge despite being the club’s player of the season in back-to-back seasons.
That unholy period has increased speculations that Mata will be on the move again this summer as the Portuguese may hand him the same treatment as before when he openly named Oscar as a preferred number 10.
However, the former Valencia attacker will seek discussions with Mourinho once his appointment is confirmed to see if some common ground can be found.
Mata has scored 26 goals from his 104 appearances for United in all competitions.
