Kenyan international McDonald Mariga has been ranked as one of the worst signing Portuguese tactician, currently at Manchester United, ever made.
Mourinho is known for his tactical genius and has a glittering managerial career to show for it but as Squawka puts it, he missed it big time at some points in his career, listing Mariga as one such failure.
While at Italian side Inter Milan, Mourinho signed Mariga in 2010 from Parma and the midfielder was part of the team that won the treble that year, becoming the first East African to win the UEFA Champions League.
He however failed to establish himself as a regular at the team and was soon after loaned to Real Sociedad before being released to rejoin Parma who were relegated and he is now with Serie B side US Latina.
In the worst signings list Mariga, an elder brother to Victor Wanyama, is listed alongside former AC Milan great Andriy Shevchenko, Ricardo Quaresma and Mateja Kezman.
