Kenyan international McDonald Mariga was on the pitch for 85 minutes as his Italian Serie B side US Latina rallied to hold Virtus Lanciano to a 2 – 2 draw on Saturday 16 April at Communale Dominico Stadium.
Nicolao Manuel opened the scoring for Latina on the 44th minute but Virtus levelled through Gaetano Vastola in the 52nd minute.
Guido Marilungo the fired Virtus into a 2 – 1 lead on the 59th minute and managed to hold on until late.
Latina’s Luigi Alberto struck on the 90th minute to bring the tie level. Mariga was pulled out for Daniele Corvia.
Latina are 16th on the 22-team log with 40 points from 36 games. They next visit Livorno in a league match scheduled for Tuesday 19 April.
