Manchester United summer signing Paul Pogba has been suspended for the Reds’ Premier League opener against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The former Juventus man will not make his debut at Dean Court on Sunday as he is banned following bookings picked up in the Coppa Italia.
The 23-year-old who has been dared by Nigeria’s Mikel Obi was thought to be available for selection after the Frenchman completed his return to Old Trafford in a world record £89m move from Juventus.
However the FA have delayed Pogba’s second Premier League debut by annohncing the midfielder is serving a one match ban.
The Frenchman completed his £90million switch to Old Trafford earlier this week but will be unavailable for the first game of the campaign.
Pogba was listed on the FA’s website as one of the players ‘currently under suspension’ ahead of the first weekend of the new season.
