Manchester United are plotting a blockbuster transfer in the region of €120m for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, according El Confidencial.
The Welshman has been a long time target of the Old Trafford side but they’ve failed to lure the former Tottenham Hotspurs star away from the Bernabeu.
However, he’s back on United’s transfer radar this summer after the signing of Jose Mourinho who is a keen admirer of the player whom he tried to sign for Chelsea.
One obstacle likely in the €120m deal is that Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez has seen Bale as the natural heir to Cristiano Ronaldo once the Portuguese international opts to leave or retire.
Bale’s current contract at the Bernabeu runs until 2019. He is with the Walsh national team preparing for the Euro 2016.
