Manchester United are reportedly preparing to spend big yet again when the winter transfer window opens next month and according to reports, they are ready to test Leicester’s resolve with a £29m bid for Algerian international Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez has been sensational this season in the Foxes colors, scoring 13 Premier League goals already. However, United’s hopes of signing him are slim, after the player insisted just last week that he wants to remain with Leicester City.
Reports also suggest United will also make an audacious bid for Poland forward Robert Lewandowski. According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo the club are “crazy” about the Bayern Munich striker.
Again, the chances of the target’s current club letting him leave are slim – this is a player who has scored 23 goals in 26 appearances this season.
The reports suggest a bid of £51m will be made for the Poland international.
