Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane’s preparations for the trip to Camp Now were thrown into chaos during the last training session before the latest edition of the El Classico.
Zidane and his troops head to Camp Nou on Saturday night for the latest edition of the biggest rivalry in world football, with the Barcelona hoping to expand on an already massive ten-point lead on the table.
Raphael Varane didn’t train with the rest of his team mates after the calf muscle problem suffered in the recent France friendly flared up again.
In the final minutes, Toni Kroos gave more cause for concern when accidentally felled by Jese Rodriguez during the usual rondos session. According to Marca, the German had to leave the session and be treated by club doctors and at this stage the extent of the problem is not known.
But the Galacticos boss Zidane insists there is no added pressure on him or his players before Saturday’s El Clasico with Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
Real, who were last crowned champions of Spain in 2012 are third in the table with eight games left while Barcelona are 10 points clear of their fierce rivals and closing in on a third title in four seasons.
