Spanish newspaper Marca claims that Real Madrid will negotiate a deal for the Frenchman Paul Pogba by offering Toni Kroos.
According to Spanish outlet, Manchester United are also tracking the German and had been planning to submit a bid of more than £30m for his services.
But it now appears as though the two clubs have their own plan which will see United miss out on both players.
Meanwhile, FCNaija.com understands new manager Jose Mourinho has been handed a £200million transfer budget to spend on overhauling the squad at Old Trafford.
However, the midfield is an area of concern as well and the former Chelsea boss appears to be wasting no time in investing.
The Red Devils had a £60m bid for Juventus midfielder Pogba rejected last week.
Juventus will reportedly not listen to bids of less than £78m but Real Madrid are said to be ready to pay as much as £94 for his services.
