Spanish giants Barcelona have been under a lot of focus lately after the loss to La Liga rivals Real Madrid on Saturday 2 April and with another tough match coming up, against title rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Barca manager Luis Enrique has called for good focus.
Enrique was handed his first defeat in 39 matches in the 1 – 2 home loss to Real Madrid and the coach admitted it was painful losing against arch rivals, who also bear title ambitions.
The former Spanish international is more focused on the positives – the team still leads in the league standings and he is calling on the players to keep pushing.
“It is painful to lose at home but we must move on, prepare for the Champions League, and we know it will be a very difficult game. We are still leading in La Liga, and we must keep pushing forward.
“Losses can teach you that all trophies are difficult to win. The players know how difficult any game can be, even more against an opponent who has the same objectives as you,” he said.
