Former AFC Leopards head coach Zdravko Logarusic has been appointed the assistant coach at Angolan top flight side Grupo Desportivo Interclube, popularly known as Interclube.
Logarusic left the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side late in the 2015 season in the wake of troubled times at the den and was initially reported to be headed to Sudan.
A deal to take over at the Al Hilal Omdurman head coach, however, did not materialize and the coach had to look elsewhere and has now been listed for Interclube.
In Angola, he will be one of three deputies to head coach Serbian Vaselin Vesco from Serbia. The other assistant coaches are Abilio Amaral and Branko Bosovic as reported by Claque Magazine.
Prior to joining the team that finished fifth in the Girabola in 2015, Logarusic had worked as head coach in Ghana at King Feisal and Ashanti Gold as well as Tanzanian side Simba SC. He also had a stint in Kenya with Gor Mahia before taking over at AFC Leopards.
The team has also signed ten players as it prepares for the 2016 season. These are Neblu (from Primeir de Agosto), History (Domante), Kibeixa, Dax and Poulson (Kabuscorp) , Mabululu (Petro de Luanda), Chico (Recreativo do Libolo) and Cameroonians Mvon, Mfede and Abianda, while Bartholomew Nguia Baptista has been promoted from the junior team.
