Liverpool forward Sadio Mane had a muscle injury in training on Wednesday.
He was rushed to hospital, with Jurgen Klopp fearing that he might’ve dislocated his shoulder and that could’ve kept him out for 3 months.
It would’ve been a massive blow for a player that’s been displaying his pace and power for the Reds in pre-season, and highly impressed on debut against Arsenal with a sensational goal.
The Senegal forward caused Arsenal all sorts of problems. This slighter setback means that he’s unlikely to be fit in time for the Premier League game away to Burnley on Saturday.
Though, there’s a good chance he will be ready for Tottenham if his shoulder and pain heals in time.
Mane signed from Southampton for £34m, and gave the Reds a 4-1 lead at the Emirates.
Man of the Match Coutinho’s injury saw them lose momentum and the game finished 4-3.
With Mane out against Burnley, Divock Origi or Daniel Sturridge could start.
