The CHAN 2016 qualifier game for South Africa against Angola will be played at Rand Stadium on Saturday.
Bloemfontein Celtic is excited about the game in particular, especially Rali Ramabodu, the Siwelele Managing Director.
Ramabodu spoke to Celtic’s official site about how their player was named captain.
“Firstly we would love to wish the entire Bafana Bafana squad all of the best for this crucial encounter and secondly commend the head coach of Bafana (Shakes Mashaba) for his ‘open door’ policy when coming the team selection. We are absolutely delighted seeing some of our players selected for such clashes because that is where experience will be gained.”
Celtic is represented in the Bafana squad by three players in Lyle Lakay, Dumisani Zuma and Wandisile Letlabika who has since been chosen as captain for that game. Ramabodu applauded the decision… “Wandisile’s courageous attitude and leadership skill deserves appreciation and we are not surprised that he has been named the captain of the team. He is also versatile and that makes him a suitable team leader who can guide authentically,” concluded the Celtic MD.
The return leg is scheduled for Saturday 24th October at the 11th-October Stadium in Luanda.
