The AFC Leopards management has declared that the team will be playing Chemelil Sugar at the Nyayo National Stadium and not Kasarani in the Sunday 13 March league clash.
The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) management has shifted the match to the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani and AFC Leopards, the hosts, claim they were not properly consulted.
Dan Mule, the Leopards chairman states that the change affects the team’s logistics as well as inconveniencing their fans and adds that they have put their protest in writing, assuring that they will play at Nyayo.
“The change is not in good faith and really inconveniences our fans. We will not accept to be treated this way by the KPL. Apart from inconveniencing the fans as well as logistics for the match, we also feel as the home team it is upon us to pick the venue.
“We have put our disagreement in writing and we will be waiting for their response but as far as we know, we will be playing Chemelil Sugar at the Nyayo Stadium,” he said
