Real Madrid defender Marcelo Vieira da Silva Júnior believes the Spanish League is complicated after his side gave up a 1-0 lead La Rosaleda to share spoils with Malaga on Sunday.
A Cristiano Ronaldo header put Real Madrid ahead but the Galacticos couldn’t ultimately slipped up at La Rosaleda in a game which began at a frantic pace as Raúl Albentosa drew level to deny Zidane and his troop maximum points.
Marcelo who started the game in La Rosaleda, looked back at the game against Malaga and had this to say:
“They are a big team and we knew that it was going to be difficult. We never give up, even though there is a lot of difference, we will fight until the end.
“La Liga is always complicated and today it has become even more so. We have to keep going and fighting. We had the game under control but we’ve made a few mistakes. We have to look at what we did wrong so we don’t make the same mistakes.”
“We have drawn. We wanted to win so it tastes like a defeat, but we’re going to fight on. Games away from home are always difficult because the opposition always raise their game against Real Madrid. We are now going to look towards the next game, which will also be difficult.” Marcelo told the Real Madrid official website.
The Zinedine Zidane led Real Madrid side who were on a four game winning streak before Sunday and still unbeaten under the Frenchman will now turn their attention to next Saturday’s clash against city rivals Atletico Madrid.
