The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) entered the 20th round of matches on Wednesday 3 August with eight matches across the nation. There were shock results in most of the matches, with each of the top four teams dropping points.
The most shocking however, was the 0 – 2 loss handed to league leaders Tusker by relegation threatened Thika United at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
Nigerian Onuodi Chibueze and Eugene Mukangula were on target yet again to see the team replicate the result against Mathare United the last time.
While Tusker had their blues at home, Gor Mahia failed to take advantage away in Awendo as they drew 0 – 0 with Sony Sugar to miss the chance to go top.
Meanwhile, Ulinzi Stars too stumbled away from home in Muhoroni, drawing 1 – 1 with Muhoroni Youth and missed the chance to close in on the leading duo as Mathare United’s bad run continued with a loss to Kakamega Homeboyz out in Mumias.
