The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) will enter the 23rd round of matches from Saturday 20 August to Wednesday 24 August with a total of seven matches on the cards but six players will not be eligible to feature for their respective teams.
David Mwangi of Mathare United is ineligible for the game against Ushuru FC after picking his fifth booking of the season in the win over Nairobi City Stars on Sunday 14 August and will be joined on the sidelines by Sofapaka’s Fredrick Kentile, who is also on five yellow cards and will miss the match against Posta Rangers.
League champions Gor Mahia will miss Burundi international Karim Nizigiyimana for the game against Chemelil Sugar. The defender is on five yellow cards as well, having picked one in the game against Posta Rangers.
Congolese forward Lwamba Bebeto of Muhoroni Youth is also out after he picked his fifth booking of the season in the match against Thika United and will sit out their game against Western Stima.
Bandari FC will have to do without the services of defender Shariff Mohamed when they play away to Thika United. He picked his fifth yellow card in the loss to Chemelil Sugar.
John Mark Makwatta of Ulinzi Stars will be ineligible for the catch up match against Posta Rangers as he picked his fifth yellow card of the season in the match against Muhoroni Youth.
