The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash pitting Nakuru based Ulinzi Stars against Ushuru FC which was supposed to be played on Saturday 6 August at the Afraha Stadium has been postponed to Wednesday 24 August.
The KPL confirmed the change while releasing the round 21 fixtures, the reason being Ulinzi Stars will be out of the country at the time, participating in the Africa Military Games (AMG) in Rwanda, which are scheduled to run from August 5 – 19.
“The Ulinzi Stars versus Posta Rangers Round 21 Match has been moved to Wednesday, 24 August 2016, as Ulinzi Stars will be in Rwanda for the Africa Military Games from 5 August to 19 August,” the statement from the KPL read.
The postponement means the weekend will have seven matches listed, three of which will be aired live.
Meanwhile the round 21 matches that had been listed for Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 August have been moved to Wednesday 3 August and none of the eight games on the cards will be aired live.
The GOtv Shield will take center stage this weekend with a total of 15 matches on the cards, starting Friday 29 July and run for three days, until Sunday 31 July.
