As the midseason break in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) enters the second week, four teams will be back in action, for the KPL Top 8 Cup semi finals scheduled for Sunday 12 June with the two matches scheduled for the Nyayo National Stadium.
In the first match, scheduled to start at 2pm, Muhoroni Youth will be taking on Ulinzi Stars before paving way for Tusker FC to play the defending champions Gor Mahia starting 4.15pm. In the first match Muhoroni Youth will be the home team then in the second Tusker will be the hosts.
The return legs of the semi finals will be staged at the same venue after a week with Ulinzi Stars and Gor Mahia taking on their opponents as the host sides.
The away goal rule applies in the semi finals with penalties called in case of a complete tie.
The final match will be played at the Mbaraki Sports Club.
Heading to the semis, Gor Mahia and Tusker are in the run for their third titles apiece while Ulinzi Stars are seeking the second win in the tournament after winning the inaugural showpiece in 2011.
Muhoroni Youth, taking part in only their second Top 8 tournament are the dark horses.
