th round of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) wound up on Sunday 24 April with just two matches staged on the day, Tusker FC playing away to Posta Rangers and Mathare United hosting Muhoroni Youth.
In the opening game of the day, Posta Rangers registered the shock result, beating Tusker FC by a goal, netted from the penalty spot by a former Tusker man, Joseph Mbugi in the first half.
The match had tempers flaring with both teams finishing with ten men.
Duncan Otieno was sent off for Rangers late in the second half before his Tusker counterpart Shafik Batambuze followed him off moments later.
In the second match of the day, Muhoroni Youth played to a 1 – 1 draw with league leaders Mathare United.
Muho, the visitors were the first on the mark with Wycliffe Ochomo opening the scores on the second minute but Whyvonne Isuza restored parity.
The KPL will continue on Wednesday 27 April.
