Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Mike Mururi is backing the advantage of playing at home to work for his side when the newly promoted side hosts Thika United on Saturday 23 April.
Homeboyz is coming from two straight wins and the players are high in confidence and having prepared well for the match, the coach is also confident that a third win in a row is in the offing.
He is however aware that Thika United, who are also coming from two straight wins after a bad start to the season, will present a tough match.
“We have prepared well for the match and we are hoping that we will benefit greatly from that as well as the fact that we will be playing at home in front of our fans. The two wins coming to the game have been a big boost to players’ morale and going to the match we want to build on the wins.
“We know the quality Thika United brings and that means it will not be an easy one for us but I have told the boys to just keep the right focus and fight for the team,” he said.
