The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) has announced to the round 23 program which is scheduled to start on Saturday 20 – Wednesday 24 August, affecting at least three of the lined up seven games.
Sofapaka and Tusker have been handed new venues for their weekend matches following the closure of the Kenyatta Stdium, Machakos, to prepare for a coming national day.
Tusker will thus be hosting Kakamega Homeboyz, at the Afraha Stadium on Sunday 21 August with the game shifting from 2pm to 1pm while Sofapaka’s game against Posta Rangers switches from Machakos to Ruaraka Stadium and will be played on Sunday and not Saturday as previously listed and kickoff also changes from 4.15pm to 3pm.
The Tusker – Kakamega Homeboyz clash moving to Nakuru means Afraha Stadium will be hosting two matches on the day since AFC Leopards will be playing City Stars at the same venue.
Further, the KPL has announced that the Thika United versus Bandari FC clash on Wednesday 24 August will start at 4pm and not 3pm on Thika United’s request for the host club to be able to guarantee adequate security for the clash.
