The Reds new star player Sadio Mane has already proved his importance to the team, with his speed and power from attacking midfield.
Mane caused a panic in Liverpool when he was substituted in Senegal’s 2-0 win against Namibia on the weekend.
There was no clear information whether he was injured or not, as the player appeared to have hobbled off.
The Senegal forward received a knock to his knee in the first half, ran it off and was able to continue in the second half, but was then substituted as a precaution after the hour mark.
Goal.com confirmed on Monday morning that Mane spoke to Reds coach Jurgen Klopp on the phone, confirming that he’s not injured.
This would be a massive relief with Liverpool about to play champions Leicester, in their first home game of the season on Saturday.
