Kenyan international winger Kevin Kimani will be getting his debut for South African top flight side Jomo Cosmos when they play host to Bidvest Wits at the Olen Park on Wednesday 13 April.
The club’s manager Jomo Cosmos has confirmed that the winger who made the switch from ten – time Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Tusker earlier in the year has his papers in place and will be featuring in the game.
Sono is confident that with Kimani’s history, he will be of great help to the team as it struggles to shake off relegation worries and he revealed that Kimani, the 2011 KPL Midfielder of the Year and Player of the Year, will be starting in the match.
“Kevin Kimani will add a lot of depth because he will start playing tomorrow. He has his papers now from Kenya. He was in Scotland playing for Glasgow Rangers. He will start against Wits because he has his papers now,” Sono told South African football portal, KickOff.
After 23 round of matches, Jomo Cosmos are second last on the PSL log with 20 points, four points above Brian Mandela’s Maritzburg United and are only below University of Pretoria on goal difference though the students have played a game more.
