Kenyan international Kevin Kimani is looking to prove himself at Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Jomo Cosmos to be able to cement his place in the Kenya national team, Harambee Stars.
Kimani has had on and off stints with the national team but speaking after sealing the move on a one – year deal, he admitted getting the national team will be tough but he is ready to work for it at club level.
Kimani was a member of the team that underachieved at the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge and he is definitely itching to make matters right.
“I know it is going to get competitive in the national team but I am ready for the challenge and I want to prove myself. I want to have a lot of game time here and perform well so that I can get to the national team on merit.
“I do not want to be called up because I have been there or because a certain coach knows me. My satisfaction will be derived from the fact that I get to the team because of my performance here,” he said.
Kimani will still have to wait for the completion of his paperwork before starting to play competitively for the PSL side.
