League leaders Tusker will be without Kenyan international Eugene Asike for their Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash against Ushuru FC on Sunday 11 September at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Asike has to pull out of the national team Harambee Stars ahead of the just concluded international break after suffering a knee injury and Nkata says he will not be ready for the match this weekend.
However, Nkata has a boost in the return of Ugandan defender Martin Kiiza who is back to full fitness after also suffering a knee injury earlier in the season.
“We will have Kiiza back; he has started training and looks fit enough. We will see if he can fit in the game plan but as for Asike he is still out. The progress is good but he cannot feature in the game this weekend,” Nkata said.
Going to the game against Ushuru, Tusker will be hoping nearest challengers Gor Mahia drop points in their game against Chemelil Sugar on Saturday.
