Former Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is set to complete a move to the South African Premier Soccer League, his agent has informed fcnaija.com.
The ‘Big Boss’ recently signed a management deal with the Johannesburg-based Quality Talent Sports and fcnaija.com has been told the former Nigeria international is close to signing with a South African club.
“We have made some progress as it regards getting a club for Stephen Keshi, which is our mandate,” CEO of Quality Talent Sports, Tim Sukazi said.
“We have spoken to some clubs here in South Africa but we cannot reveal their identities at this point because the league is still on and it will not be good for the clubs involved,” he stated.
Keshi’s last job was with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, from where he was fired last year, but it is now understood he could be in the dugout for a South African club at the start of the 2016/17 Premier Soccer League.
The 54-year old has previously coached the senior national teams of Togo and Mali, qualifying the Hawks of Togo to the 2006 World Cup, even though he didn’t lead them to the tournament proper in Germany.
