Ushuru FC head coach Ken Kenyatta has led the team through a very lean spell, so far in the season, a poor run he terms is a result of a long injury list, his sentiments this coming after the 3 – 1 loss to former champions Mathare United in the Saturday 20 August clash.
The team’s last five matches have ended in defeats and after the game, he admitted the run is the cost the team has had to pay due to injuries to key players but he called on his available men to do better.
“It has been tough for us lately and much of the bad run is due to the injury list we have. Most of our players are out injured and as such we have lacked the coherence in the team because most of these players are not used to play together.
“The loss to Mathare United has left us in a bad position and we need to get back on track as fast as possible. For the remaining matches, we have no option but to go all out for wins,” he said.
Kenyatta, whose team is 14th on the log, will be happy to note that Sofapaka lost to Posta Rangers in the Sunday clash thus missing the chance to close in on Ushuru FC.
