Kenyan International Victor Wanyama says that he is 100% focused on Southampton following his failed move to Tottenham Hotspurs on transfer deadline.
The former Celtic midfielder handed in a transfer request amidst speculation linking him with Tottenham but the Saints immediately rejected it as Ronald Koeman sees him as an integral part of the squad.
“I just don’t want to remember that situation. Now I’ve forgotten what happened,” he told Southern Daily Echo.
“I’m now progressing at my club and it’s been good, so I’m looking forward to putting in good performances.”
After being frozen out for the first few matches of the season, Wanyama has made 10 appearances for Southampton so far this season and he is the main man in midfield since the departure of Morgan Schneiderlin to Manchester United.
