Three Kenyan referees, Davies Omweno, Aden Marwa Range and Gilbert Cheruiyot have been handed the appointment for the Saturday 23 January African Nations Championships (CHAN) clash pitting Zimbabwe against Mali.
The game, at the Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu, will have Omweno running it as the center referee while Aden Marwa and Cheruiyot will slot in as the first and second assistant referees in that order.
The match will be the second appointment for Omweno and Marwa while Cheruiyot, who was called up just last week as a replacement, will be officiating in his first match of the tournament.
The CECAFA Secretary General, Nicholas Musonye, another Kenyan, will be in charge as the General coordinator.
Daniel Bennet from South Africa will serve in the match as the fourth official while Essam AbbasSiam from Egypt will be the referees’ assessor.
