Kenyan international midfielder Teddy Akumu has completed the move to Zambian champions Zesco United.
The midfielder held talks with the club earlier in the week and on Thursday 24 December confirmed a deal had been reached to see the midfielder spend the next two years at the Ndola based side.
Speaking after signing, the midfielder told 366football.com that he is ready for the Zambian challenge after spending two years in Sudan. He knows the challenge will be tough but he is all braced for it.
“I have completed the move on a two – year contract and I should say I am very happy to have landed the deal. I now have to take the challenge because Zesco is a big club with ambitions and I want to play an important role.
“I had a good time in Sudan but there is always that time when we all need a new challenge so that is why I move to Zambia. I am hoping for a good time here,” he said.
At Zesco, Akumu will be teaming up with another Kenyan international, David Owino.
