India based Kenyan defender Curtis Osano’s rising profile has seen him named stand-in Captain for his Indian League side Bengaluru FC.
Born in Nakuru, Osano has already led the side in the ongoing DSK Invitational Cup in Pune City where the Blues have booked themselves a slot in the semifinals of the 12-team tournament.
They kicked off the tournament on a flying start following a 5 – 0 win over Pune FC before beating Gangtok Himalayas 2 – 1 to top Group C with six points. In the quarterfinals, they edged out Salgaocar 3 – 1 in a match played on Wednesday 28 October at the DSK Dream City Stadium.
He recently penned a contract extension that will keep him at the Blues till the end of the 2015-16 season.
