Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has joined the plethora of stars to support Nigeria’s football icon Nwankwo Kanu as he glowingly endorsed the Kanu Heart Foundation.
The likes of Zambian football president Kalusha Bwalya, Peter of Psquare, former teammate at Arsenal Robert Pires, Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez, and Samuel Eto’o have all shown support to Kanu’s foundation.
In a short video posted on instagram, the Ghanaian international said “I am Michael Essien. Please support Kanu Heart Foundation.”
An impressed Kanu tweeted: “Thank you my brother @iam_ess for supporting Kanu Heart Foundation. #kanuHeartFoundation #PositiveAttitude #KHF #SavingLifes.”
The Kanu Heart Foundation was founded on July 21, 2000 – currently backed by the appendance of over 400 heart surgeries at an outstanding 98.5% success rate.
