Newly signed Chippa United marksman David Zulu is back where he wants to be; scoring goals in the Absa Premiership.
Zulu was on target in Chippa’s 3-1 win over Ajax Cape Town in East London on Sunday afternoon, scoring his side’s second with a wonderful turn in the box and pin-point finish from a tight angle.
The 29-year-old former Black Leopards front-man also struck the woodwork, and went close on other or two other occasions, looking sharp as he regularly carved out space for himself in the Urban Warriors box while linking superbly with winger Joseph Malongoane.
Having been unable to find game-time during his period with Kaizer Chiefs, Zulu is a happy man now that he’s back at Chippa and scoring goals for the Chilli Boys.
“It felt great to be back on the field and people will remember me again and see that I’m still around. This may help me to be back also in the national team too.
“Playing here regularly will boost my confidence and it just showed me that I was taking care of myself when I was injured for three months,” Zulu told Football411.
“I started to train again in December and I didn’t feel any pressure on the injury in these first few games I have played,” he explained.
