Nigeria midfielder John Ogu has firmly set his sight on winning the league in Israel ahead of their final match against Bnei Sakhnin.
The 28-year-old has been in spectacular form for the Isreali side and won the Best Foreigner award in Israel scoring four-times this season from midfield.
“I am happy with this huge award but it will be best to win my first title as a player with my teammates,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to Saturday because it is a big game for us. We’ll prepare for the game like we’ve done for every other. The match will be special and I’ll give everything. We need just a win and we are champions,” he added.
Hapoel Beer Sheva are currently top of the league with 80 points, just two above second placed Maccabi Tel Aviv.
