Kenyan international Eric Johanna has been backed to do well following the invitation for trials by Swedish top flight side AIK Fotball.
The Kenyan international will be traveling to Stockholm for the trials in mid August and after a good season so far with Mathare United in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi is confident he has what it takes to succeed at the trials.
Okumbi was a key mentor for the midfielder and knows the player too well and he holds that the player has the determination to reach great heights in his career.
“It is a good chance for him and I am very happy for him; it is also good for the national team because being a regular, we will benefit greatly from the experience he will get there.
“I have known Eric from his early years until when he got promoted to the senior team at Mathare United and I know he has the right determination to make it in the trials. We all hope he succeeds,” Okumbi noted.
