Roma and Ivory Coast striker Gervinho has signed with China’s Hebei Fortune to become the latest European-based star to be lured east by the increasingly wealthy Chinese Super League.
There were reports on Monday that the Ivorian was on the verge of a €15m switch to the Chinese club after missing a training session.
Today the move is believed to have been completed after transfer website Transfermarkt China tweeted a picture of the winger with his new club’s shirt.
“OFFICIAL: Hebei China Fortune have completed the signing of Gervinho (28) from AS Roma,” the outlet wrote.

Only an official announcement from Roma is now lacking before the transfer is confirmed.
The Ivorian moved to Roma from Arsenal in 2013 and scored 26 goals in 88 appearances for the capital club.
