Hopes of having Victor Moses back in action for the Nigeria national team once again has been dashed following the desicion by the West Ham United forward to pull out of Nigeria’s friendlies against the DR Congo and Cameroon,
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Sunday night confirmed the development thus meaning that Moses will be absent when the Super Eagles tackle DRC in Vise, Liege, on Thursday, October 8 and then confront Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions in Dendermonde on Sunday, October 11.
It was gathered that Moses sent a letter to the Nigeria Football Federation Moses stating that he was pulling out in a precautionary move against injury.
Earlier, Turkey–based defender Kenneth Omeruo was ruled out of the double header in Belgium this week owing to a hamstring injury but was promptly replaced with Efe Ambrose.
Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh, while regretting this setback, assured that the team have enough good quality options to fill the gaps left by both players.
“We have no choice now but to work with the other players who are available,”Oliseh said.
