Ghanaian attacking midfielder Andre Ayew was determined to make a greater impact in the English Premier League this season.
The whole league new that he was not satisfied with just playing for Swansea, and joined the more ambitious West Ham for a record deal this season.
Their opening game against Chelsea was the ideal window to showcase his talent, at the home of one of Africa’s most popular teams at Stamford Bridge.
Unfortunately the event turned for the worse, as not only did West Ham lose 2-1, but Ayew suffered a first half injury and had to be taken off.
Due to a sprained muscle in the right thigh, he was substituted by Gokhan Tore in the 34th minute.
A scan will determine how badly the injury is, and so by the end of Tuesday West Ham will know how long he will be on the sidelines.
