FC IfeanyiUbah have completed the signing of goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa from Sunshine Stars following their failure to capture Ebele Obi from Heartland.
The Anambra Warriors had been on the trail of Heartland stopper Ebele Obi for much of the mid-season transfer window but with the Naze Millionaires refusing to sell, IfeanyiUbah have now decided to go for Ezenwa.
Ezenwa is an experienced Nigeria international who left Sunshine Stars after complaining of not being paid his salaries and had been training with IfeanyiUbah for over a week before his signing was completed.
The Nnewi-based club have outlined their ambitions for the season, with owner and billionaire businessman, Ifeanyi Ubah approving the sum of N100m for their transfer activities.
Ezenwa has previously played for Ocean Boys, Sharks and Heartland, and has represented Nigeria at the U20 and U23 levels and he is currently a member of Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles.
