Nigerian youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho is set for a return to action with Manchester City as they take on Newcastle United in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Aside Iheanacho who is returning from a slight knock, Coach Manuel Pellegrini has also been boosted by the return of Eliaquim Mangala and Wilfried Bony even as the Chilean admitted that his squad has been challenged by a number of key injuries this season for the last set of games.
Iheanacho and the returning trio are all in contention for Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Newcastle on Saturday, with Pellegrini pointing to the fact he has been forced to name a largely unchanged side in the opening weeks of the campaign.
He said: “It is more difficult because we are just playing with the same names every game and it is difficult to play in high intensity and high pace when you don’t have any changes to make.
“That is a credit to the players.
Iheanacho has made two substitutes appearances for the Citizens scoring a stoppage time goal that earned his side a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
