Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho may go on loan in January in search of first team action, Completesportsnigeria.com has reports.
Iheanacho, who got promoted in the summer after impressing with the club’s Elite Development Squad and the U-19s, is also demanding an improved deal at the club after breaking into the first team, a close source has informed Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We are happy with his progress at City but he’s not getting the kind contract he deserves at the club,” the source spoke of Iheanacho. “There are options for him in the January window and we will see.
“City are yet to hand him an improved deal.” The Nigerian teenager whose current deal runs until 2019 is also a major doubt for this weekend’s home fixture against Newcastle United.
Iheanacho has made two appearances for Manchester City and has scored once.
