Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho has declared that he is really enjoying a good striking partnership with Argentine forward, Sergio Aguero.
Iheanacho and Aguero both scored on Saturday as the Citizens crushed Norwich City to progress to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup and the 19-year old Nigeria submits that his partnership with Aguero is sure to bring more good results if sustained.
“I am very pleased playing with him (Aguero), he is a professional and I am happy playing with him and I hope to play more games with him this season.” he told MUFC TV after Saturday’s FA Cup triumph.
Having benefitted off an assist from Aguero in the 3-0 win over Norwich, Iheanacho shed more light on his goal.
He said: “Yeah, it was a great goal and a good pass from Sergio. I was about to control the ball but I thought again to take it first time.
Iheanacho who has played 275 minutes in City’s season, spread over 12 league appearances with two goals and three cup showings with another three goals is one of the nominees for the maiden FCNaija Footballer of the Year 2015 Award.
