Nigeria youth prodigy Kelechi Iheancho is excited heading into his first major Manchester derby as United host City at Old Trafford today.
The 18-year-old was promoted by manager Manuel Pellegrini into the Citizens first team during the summer and he repaid that confidence when he scored the winner against Crystal Palace in his first away match for the Citizens during a premier league match at Selhurst Park.
Just hours before the match, an obviously excited Kelechi Iheanaccho tweeted: ‘Is Manchester derby today common City.’
The former Under-17 star seems to be enjoying that free fall of defending champions Chelsea following their 2-1 defeat to West Ham at the Upton Park yesterday as he also tweeted: ‘Good game and a great win against Chelsea.’
Iheanacho has been tipped for greater things in future and Sunday Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh is reportedly keeping a very close watch on the Manchester City starlet as he continues to rebuild the national team of Nigeria.
