Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo has rued the missed chances in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Norwich City in Saturday’s English Premier League fixture but was quick to add that the Hornets deserved their sixth win of the season in front of their home fans.
“We really deserved the win because we played really well from the first minute until the last,” Ighalo told BBC Sport.
“I was a bit frustrated because I had chance to score two or three goals, but that’s football.
“We are going to push higher up the table, but Saturday is gone.
The Hornets won the tie courtesy of goals by Troy Deeney and Ighalo.
Though Norwich City fought hard in the game to earn a share of the spoils, to no avail, the former Granada player believes his side were worthy winners.
“The important thing is the team performance. We are very happy with the three points and we want to keep going.”
Ighalo has scored nine goals in 15 appearances for Watford in the Premier League this season.”
