Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has returned to his scoring ways after enduring a frustrating 12-game drought with Watford FC.
Ighalo is understandably quite relived to have finally ended the goals drought; scoring one of the goals as Norwich secured a 4-2 win over his side on Wednesday night at Carrow Road.
Sadly for the Canaries, the win was unable to guarantee their top flight status as they are relegated back to the Championship, one season after climbing the ladder up
Wednesday’s outing is Ighalo’s 36th English Premier League appearance for Watford this season and he finally made his presence count as he finished off Troy Deeney’s pass after fine work from the Hornets skipper for his side’s second on the night.
Ighalo who has now scored 15 league goals and 17 in 42 appearances this season had a chance in the 11th minute to score the opener but his rebounded shot was side-footed into the net by Deeney.
