Though it was erstwhile boss Brendan Rodgers that availed him the needed chance at Liverpool, Jordon Ibe has declared that he cannot wait to start working under new manager Jurgen Klopp.
According to Ibe, he is confident of more improvement in his own game under the German, but will not forget the impact of Rodgers on his career.
“I can’t wait to get back and start working with him now,” Ibe told Liverpool Echo.
“I can only try and get better with the help he’s hopefully going to provide for me, and there’s a lot of other young players, so working around him should be great and also for the senior players in the squad.”
Ibe 19, made his debut under the former Reds boss, and was used often in the second half of last season.
He also started Liverpool’s opening two league games of the current campaign, but has been restricted to just three appearances off the bench since, his last coming in the defeat to Manchester United.
Having picked England over Nigeria for his international career, Ibe, along with Reds team-mate Joe Gomez are presently with Gareth Southgate’s U21 side
